While there may be no "cure for pedophilia", the vast majority are able to avoid acting on their fantasies, just like the average person can find another adults attractive but not assault them.

This is not something anyone wants to deal with, and a high percentage of MAPs struggle with suicidal thoughts. However, it is absolutely possible to have these feelings and live a positive, fulfilled life.

If you're here you probably already know this is true. Disclosure to a therapist can be overwhelming and risky. Most of the written works are academic, and self help is almost non-existent outside peer support forums & chat.

Most MAPs never harm anyone. Attraction alone does not predict behavior or make you a sex offender, actually harming a child does.

Sexual attraction patterns form early and are not chosen or changeable through willpower. However, therapy and other tools can help with related mental health issues, and support the formation of age-appropriate relationships.

About Atlas Pathways

Atlas Pathways was founded in 2025 out of the realization that minor-attracted people often only have access to dense literature, individual therapy (which can be unaffordable/risky), faith-based programs, or punitive frameworks, with almost no practical, everyday psychological guidance. Through regular contact with MAPs, it became clear that many such people are struggling & seek targeted resources without moral panic.Created as an independent effort, Atlas attempts to help fill that gap with accessible educational tools, and public outreach to reduce stigma. The mission is simple: uncover what is most needed, and provide practical support for people who have historically had nowhere safe to turn.
